I came to this industry from a lifetime in professional sales,
advertising and residential construction. I started out selling new
homes in college. I went into the building business and along the
way sold my own home many
times. It was the use of a well regarded local Realtor
to sell my last rental home which made me think about pursuing this
career change. Yes, like many of you I suspect, I thought the
bar for success in Real Estate was quite low. While I was
vastly interested in real estate, I was equally determined to find a
new way.
I've found it here. It is the intersection of a very
popular relocation city- Charlotte- plus the transformation of
the buying process through the Internet, and the rise of Buyer
Agency in North Carolina and a terrific Broker-In-Chief, Scott
Wilkinson. In
2006, I led the top team at W & A, then the 2nd largest broker in
Charlotte with over 600 Agents. My story is
continued here.
Here are a few words from some
satisfied customers:
.."Terry
assisted Mario and I with a long distance building process, which
can be extremely difficult. Mr. McDonald was our eyes and ears
during that time. He gave us briefings after he went to the
construction site, took photos and even developed a website for us
to view."
Or
from a client moving from London,
"Terry
took the time to understand the type of house we were looking for,
even if we couldn't verbalize it ourselves at first. He was very
responsive and flexible to our changing requirements with the
difficulties of moving from overseas."
And last, from New
York City:
"Terry
McDonald has not only been instrumental in helping us relocate from
New York City to Cornelius, North Carolina area, but, he has become
our friend and confidant. His knowledge of the real estate,
relocation and construction business is immeasurable."
Meet Karl
Gyorfy
Karl
has been with me the longest, and his experience grows and grows,
adding multi-family and other investment property this year.
Karl is a former Bank Of America relocation from Texas! He is a a
Wisconsin native living in the Matthews/Union County area for over
14 years, Karl spent more than 20 years in
banking, finance, and technology and uses that experience to your
advantage in the Charlotte real estate market. Exceptional customer
service, personal care, and an in depth knowledge of the largest
financial transaction most people ever make.
...Karl's knowledge speaks for itself, his concern for the client
is paramount, and he is... fun. Ask him anything about Rock N'
roll and see what happens... Ever see the movie "That Thing You Do?"
That was Karl, 30 years ago.
Karl will be there for you, I guarantee it.

Meet Jim Tyner

Jim came to me in a unique way, he bought a home from me
almost a year ago in Huntersville, and after a short time, decided
he wanted to help others relocate to Charlotte. Born and raised in
Long Island, Jim brings a warm LI touch to (kidding Jim) to every
transaction. Jim has been investing in real estate for more than 10
years, and owned his own company in NY. He moved here for a better
quality of life. Ask him, ask his wife what they found here.
He's obviously in a unique position to answer some of those
difficult questions.
Jim has been aggressively learning the Charlotte area and is
already a whiz up North. He's been successful in every endeavor he
has undertaken, he's already a success here, and I look
forward to seeing his growth in this market.
Jim will be there for you, I guarantee it.

Meet Peggy
Washko
 Peggy
came aboard through my Broker Scott's recommendation. What a welcome
addition! Her goals? "To add value to your home buying
process... to be the person you can rely on to walk with you thru
the steps to owning your dream home... and be the professional that
understands the industry and is positioned to stay ahead of the
game."
A few words from her customers ..."If
one needs an experienced, honest, knowledgeable, and hard working
Realtor, one should look for Peggy Washko." And from
another...."buying our first home has been stressful, but Peggy
always finds a way to cheer me up when I'm feeling like I just want
to give up. I would nominate her the Realtor of the year if I could
she is AWESOME!!!!..Michael and I really appreciates her and her
hard work!!"
If
we are going to be anything, we are going to be
professionals with high standards.
Con't from above....So I
began developing CharlotteCommunites.net right away, to help share
Charlotte with families thinking of moving. It was what was missing
when we came here, and it was the all about the questions I was
being asked every day.
Then I added over time the photo
galleries at
CharlotteCommunites.smugmug.com, we now have over 45 different
communities and 1500 pictures.
Now we've added
CharlotteCommunitiesOnline, the blog version of CCnet, and the
place where we can keep everyone easily updated. On the blog, here
are the most popular categories:
Active Adult, Over 55 Charlotte Communities (here come the
Boomers!:))

Here are a few thoughts
we've been working on what we'd like our business to represent:
We are going to be there when our customers need us.
This doesn't mean we are on call 24/7- it means that in every
transaction, we are on all the time, from start to finish, we look
in the places you don't know about and sniff out most trouble before
it's too late- we don't take mental vacations! You of
course do your part. (we are not hand holders by nature)
And customers will know we are in their corner.
Recently I had a customer say, "It was good to know I have a body
guard here, " after he had seen me in an "earnest" discussion with a
new home sales manager. No not physical, we just were not going to
accept the answer this woman was giving us...
And we watch your back too! In every subdivision,
there are dog's, some obvious, some less so, our job is to
keep you from buying them. On every house you are interested in we
compute three prices, the actual estimated market value- a hi and
low, our expected sales price, and a recommended bid price. Taking
your lead, based on how much you want a particular home, we
negotiate from friendly to Soviet style.
